Who we are
MycoNote is a field guide to European mushrooms, created in Ukraine and available at myconote.com. We are the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).
What data we collect
We don't collect any personal data directly. The only way data about your behavior on the site can reach third parties is through Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager), and only if you explicitly give your consent to it.
Without your consent, no analytics scripts are loaded.
Cookies and local storage
We use two kinds of data storage in your browser:
- myconote_consent — an entry in your browser's
localStoragethat stores your analytics choice (accept / decline). It isn't sent anywhere and is deleted along with the site's data in your browser. - Google Analytics cookies (only with your consent) — set by Google to analyze traffic. They include anonymous session identifiers, device type and pages viewed. They are kept for up to 2 years. Learn more: Google Privacy Policy.
Why we use analytics
Analytics helps us understand which sections of the site are most useful to foragers, so we can improve those first. We don't use the data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
How to manage your consent
You can change your decision at any time:
- Withdraw consent: click the button below — the banner will ask you again.
- Block cookies in your browser: most browsers let you turn off third-party cookies in their settings.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or Ukraine, you have the right to:
- access your data
- request deletion of your data
- restrict or object to processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@myconote.com.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after the changes means you accept the updated policy.
