A short, honest summary of the terms MycoNote runs on. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

MycoNote (myconote.com) is the personal project of Valeriia, the author of the site. It is run from Ukraine.
You can reach us at hello@myconote.com or on Telegram @valbratishko.

All information about mushrooms is for reference only. It does not replace identification by an experienced mycologist and is not medical advice.
Never eat a mushroom if you have the slightest doubt. Whether to pick, cook or eat mushrooms is your own decision and your own responsibility.
A community verdict in the identifier is the opinion of other foragers, not a confirmation that a mushroom is edible.
If you suspect poisoning, call emergency services straight away (112 in Europe).

You need an account to post finds, vote and comment. Signing up is free.
Use your real email address and keep your password safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Accounts that break these terms or the community rules may be blocked.

Only post photos you took yourself and text you wrote yourself.
Your photos and text remain yours. By posting them, you allow MycoNote to show them on the site and on the project’s social media, free of charge and without a time limit.
What is and isn’t allowed is set out in the community rules. Posts that break them are hidden or removed.

MycoNote’s texts, own photos and design are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote them with a link to the page you quote.
Some photos come from openly licensed sources: the author and licence are shown next to each of them.

The site is free. Its costs are covered by Google AdSense ads and voluntary support from readers.
Ads do not affect the content: edibility ratings and safety advice are not for sale.
Support is a voluntary gift to the project, not a payment for a service. It gives no special rights on the site.

We check information carefully, but the site is provided “as is” and may contain mistakes. If you spot one, write to us and we will fix it.
MycoNote is not liable for the consequences of picking or eating mushrooms, or for content posted by other users.
Links to other websites lead to resources we do not control.

These terms may be updated; the date of the latest change is shown at the top. We will announce important changes on the site.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine.
